Limited Payout Machines

Limited Payout Machines (LPM’s) are machines that may be placed in pubs, taverns, social clubs where a strict criteria is met by the owner of the premises. Generally, up to 5 machines may be placed in a licensed premises (but this can be up to 40 under certain conditions) and Goldrush place the slot machines on a revenue share basis. Goldrush have licenses to distribute and operate LPM’s in several provinces.

In 2008, due to the slow roll out of bingo, the company decided to diversify and enter the Limited Payout Machines (LPM) sector in Gauteng with the Goldrush brand. Under a very tough bidding process, the company was awarded a route operator licence in Gauteng to operate 1,000 LPM’s (being honored with No.1 bidder status in the process) and the first Limited Payout Machines went live in mid-2009. Subsequently, further route operator licences were won in the North-West Province, Free State and Limpopo Province.
